Bella and Julie Keller, directors
Bella has been dancing with her mom since the age of two and has been competing since the age of five. She was a seven-year member of the Highlands High School Dance Team where she competed on the Varsity team for all four years in high school. She helped her team win multiple titles at the national competition in Orlando, Florida; as well as other state and regional titles. Bella is currently studying to receive a dance BFA at Northern Kentucky University. Putting her extensive training to work, Bella functions as both a performer and a teacher. Her recent performances include NKU’s Dance ’18, Dance ’19, Dance ‘20, Emerging Choreographer’s Showcases, and the American College Dance Association Conference. Bella furthers her contribution to the dance world through her involvement as the Vice President in the honorary dance fraternity Delta Chi Xi. Bella intends to continue growing under valuable instruction of teachers in the area to guide both herself and her students in areas of tap, ballet, jazz, modern and hip hop. Creating relationships that foster both love and discipline is one of her most appreciated roles. Her ever growing passion for dance has brought her so much joy and she hopes to pass that same feeling along to all of her future Belladancers!
Julie has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Northern Kentucky University and has been teaching, instructing, and directing in the dance field for the past twenty-nine years.She served as the co-owner and director of Le Dance Studio, which is now closed. She was also a former instructor for UDA, Universal Dance Association, instructing high school dance and pom squads throughout the Midwest. Julie is certified through DEA, Dance Educators of America, and is a member of IDEA, International Dance-Exercise Association. As a creative director, Julie strives to train dancers with a disciplined curriculum while maintaining a positive and nurturing environment. Julie prides herself on her top-notch staff, that consistently focuses on a high standard of training.
In her personal life, Julie and her husband Dave have two children, Bella and Luke. They enjoy traveling, camping and spending time with their ever growing extended family. Working and directing alongside her daughter, Bella, is a dream come true.
